The Birth of the Internet and the Digital Age

About this coin

The composition shows an operator surrounded by rows of computers and monitors – an image of the beginnings of the digital revolution and the birth of the global network. Characteristic terminals and data on the screens recall the atmosphere of the first computer laboratories.

Full-colour UV print brings out the retro style of the illustration – from the light computer casings to cool shades of blue and a distinctive red chair. The symmetrical composition and analogue texture give the image a strong technological character.

The Birth of the Internet and the Digital Age is a coin inspired by the technological progress that began the digital era – a choice for enthusiasts of computer history, the internet and breakthrough inventions.
